School Uniform

Forest Gate Uniform

The school uniform is compulsory for all children from Nursery to Y6.

All children, including Nursery, must wear the correct uniform and P.E. kit. The uniform is listed below:

Girls’ Uniform

  • Grey pinafore dress/skirt.
  • White polo shirt (preferably with logo)
  • School sweatshirt/cardigan with FGA logo at all times.
  • Grey socks or tights
  • Black school shoes must be worn by all pupils. Trainers or ‘trainer type’ shoes are not acceptable. Shoes should be plain with no lights, logos or decoration. Boots or ankle boots are not acceptable.
  • Hair below shoulder length should be tied back with a plain small bobble. Bobbles should not be excessive in size and should be able to be covered by the pupil’s hand.
  • Book bag
  • Red and white check summer dresses with white socks (Summer term only)

Boys’ Uniform

  • Grey trousers or shorts (not combats).
  • White polo shirt (preferably with logo)
  • School sweatshirt with FGA logo at all times.
  • Grey socks.
  • Black school shoes must be worn by all pupils. Trainers or ‘trainer type’ shoes are not acceptable. Shoes should be plain with no lights, logos or decoration. Boots or ankle boots are not acceptable.
  • Book bag.
  • Grey shorts (Summer Term )

PE KIT

  • Burgundy shorts
  • White t-shirt
  • Grey socks
  • Pumps or trainers

Appearance

  • No extreme hair-cuts (eg. no less than a 3 overall)
  • No colourful braids etc
  • Nail varnish, false nails and transfer tattoos are forbidden
  • No piercings of any kind, this includes plastic retainers
  • Hair below shoulder length should be tied back with a plain small bobble. Bobbles should not be excessive in size and should be able to be covered by the pupil’s hand.

PLEASE clearly name all items of clothing brought into school as this helps greatly when trying to identify “LOST PROPERTY”.

Mobile phones are not permitted in school. We do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage of any items confiscated.
