Headteacher Message - 10th May 2024

Welcome back! We hope you all had a lovely half term break and enjoyed time with your families.

This week was the start of Pride month. As part of our PSHE curriculum we talked to children about caring, happy relationships and about being respectful and kind to all individuals.

This week we also celebrated our careers week. We were lucky enough to have visits from a pilot, a tram driver, a paramedic, an air steward, a physio therapist and a presentation on how to start your own business. Thank you to all of these people for giving up their time to talk to our children and give a glimpse into those careers.

Y4 children are now starting their Multiplication Tables Checks. This is a statutory test that has to be completed within the first 2 weeks of this term. The data from this is gathered by the DFE and compared nationally. Y1 children will be starting their phonics screening checks next week. These are also statutory tests that are completed nationally. Please make sure you inform school of any absences so that your child does not miss any of these crucial assessments.
